  • #RheumChat Twitter chat recap

On Thursday, October 15, 2015, we hosted the #RheumChat on Twitter. The chat focused on access to care and treatments and the National Psoriasis Foundation (@NPF) served as the co-host.

The hour-long conversation covered topics ranging from what access to care means for individuals with rheumatic diseases to how specialist shortages impact Americans today. Here are a few of the questions that were covered. See the full recap below.

Q1: What does access to treatment mean to you?
Q2: What issues do patients encounter when trying to find or see a specialist?
Q3: What problems can patients experience when trying to access or afford needed medications?
Q4: How can these access challenges affect patients’ health and overall wellbeing?
Q5: What can be done to improve access to care?
