For the month of May, Simple Tasks teamed up with the Gout & Uric Acid Education Society for a #GoForSix #RheumChat in honor of Gout Awareness Day.

Formed in September 2005, the Gout & Uric Acid Education Society (GUAES) is a nonprofit organization of health care professionals dedicated to raising awareness of gout – the most common form of inflammatory arthritis – with the aim of improving the quality of care and minimizing the burden of gout. The GoutEducation.org website offers complimentary resources for both the public and medical professionals. With gout incidence on the rise, the need for gout education is more important than ever. Today, more than 8.3 million Americans are living with gout – with only 10 percent receiving needed, ongoing treatment.
